Payment Providers – Connecting Mentortools with ThriveCart

What you need to set up the connection:
A ThriveCart account
Products in your ThriveCart account that you want to sell
A Mentortools account
First, log in to your ThriveCart account and navigate to "Settings," then "API & Webhooks."

Next, select "API keys" or click on "View settings."

You can then create an API key. This is a password generated by ThriveCart so that Mentortools can retrieve data about product sales from your ThriveCart account. Please treat this API key as securely as a password.
Click on "Create API key."

Give your new API key a name of your choice. A name like "Mentortools Connection" is a good idea, as it will help you remember that this API key is used for the connection to Mentortools.

An "API key" will then appear in the lower part of the window. It's best to copy this key to your clipboard.

Now, go back to your Mentortools account and use the API key to create a connection.

Next, click on "Add payment provider" and select ThriveCart. Click the "Continue" button.

Give it a name, for example, "ThriveCart Connection," so you'll always know it's the ThriveCart payment provider. Paste the copied API key into the designated field and set the connection to active. After that, you can click the "Save and close" button.

How to Connect a ThriveCart Product with an Online Course?
If you now want to connect a ThriveCart product with an online course, you should have already added a product to your ThriveCart account. Navigate to the Course Overview in your Mentortools account and click on the name of the online course you want to connect the product to from ThriveCart.

An editing window will then open. Scroll down to the "Payments" section. Make sure the online course is set to be paid.


Finally, you can add a landing page that allows users to purchase the product. This can be an external landing page or a landing page from your Mentortools account. Afterward, click the "Save and close" button (bottom right).

The sales page will appear in your member area for users who have not yet purchased the course. If you don't have a sales page yet, you can temporarily add the payment link from the payment provider instead.

You've successfully done it, and you can now sell your product.
